Our fabrics are colour and light fast and printed with water miscible dyes which are environmentally friendly. The dyes we use permeate through the fibres which gives an intense and lasting colour. We have purposefully chosen not to use pigment inks as they have a greater chance of fading and rubbing off.

Natural textiles are prone to imperfections, such as tiny knots, called slubs and neps. These are generated during the weaving process and are considered part of the charm of a natural product. Please take care following the washing instructions to reduce the knots that may become dislodged in the washing process. When the little knots come off the result is a little base fabric spot.

So now you've got your Heart Ethical eco-ethical fabric in your home, we're sure you want to keep it looking just right. You can take good care of your fabric by following these instructions:

  • We recommend that you either dry clean or hand wash our fabric. If you are hand washing, remove excess water by rolling the fabric in a towel.
  • Please do not soak the fabric, this will affect the dye.
  • Please air dry the fabric, and don't use a dryer.
  • To get that perfect finish give the fabric an iron on the reverse side of the print. When ironing the linen, try to do it before the fabric dries properly. If it's a little bit damp it seems much easier to get that lovely crisp finish.

Now you can just relax and enjoy your home interior design with your favourite Heart Ethical fabric.
